So after a long absence from the blogging world, i have decided that now i will stop being a bum and start back up again. Last night Liv and I went out to Mudlake to watch the rodeo. She was so excited...she slept through the whole thing! Poor little thing missed out on all the fun. ;) every once in a while when the announcer would get real excited and start yelling over the microphone she'd crack one eye open and look at me with a look that said ' would somebody shut that guy up?!'
The main reason we wanted to go to the rodeo was to watch all that good barrel racing, and Seth just so happened to be riding his first buckin bronco so we decided since we were out, we could probly stay and watch him too! ;) He did such a good job! If we're being totally honest, I think he had a bit of an unfair advantage, he's so tall he could wrap his legs around the whole horse and hook his feet underneath. All those other bronc riders are unfortunately short and stubby (course maybe that's how seth will look after a few more rides!)
If you watch real close in the video, there was a point right at the beginning where he almost fell off but later he told us, "I lost my stirrup right when i came out of the shoot. I almost fell of right then but then i thought to myself...wait a sec, 400 bucks is a lot of money! So i just squeezed my legs together real tight and hung on." I was so proud of him. If you're wise you'll turn the volume way down before you watch this cuz i got a little excited!

~ * Fur Bikinis * ~
So, Lauren set me up this blog and i haven't touched it yet because i've been waiting for a blogworthy tale, and lemme tell ya, I've got one! I was at work last week, in the adorable Mud Lake Market. Jayci and I were standing behind the registers when creepy big-belly man walked into the store. I could already tell that an awkward situation was about to revealed. The awful conversation went as follows:
Creepy big-belly man: Do you guys sell any dry ice, we need some to make root beer for a convention we're having across the road at the fairgrounds.
Paige: Nope, sorry. But if you find some, you should bring the root beer back over here for us. (flashed him a winning checker-girl-at-your-local-grocery-store smile)
Jayci: (drooling. . . over the root beer, not the man )
Creepy big-belly man: Just come over and get some.
Paige: Well what kind of convention is it anyway.
Jayci: (still drooling... by this time i wasn't quite sure it was over the though of home-made root beer or if balding men in their 60's turn her on)
Creepy big-belly man: It's a trapper convention.
Paige: Oh I see. Does that mean i have to wear my coon skin cap to get in?
Creepy big-belly man: No, we would prefer fur bikinis.
Awkward silence.........
Paige: (I tried to suavely take control of this horryfing conversation) I'll have to see if I can dig it out of my dresser.
Jayci: (She'd stopped drooling by now, and I could see a clever comment formulating) Geez, I haven't worn that thing in years.
Creepy big-belly man: So your telling me it might be a little small. That's okay we get to judge the outfits. I'm sure it'll work just fine.
Awkward silence...............
After these horrifying last words from the creepy man, Jayci and I told the man to have a good day, and to get the heck out of Mudlake! (well, not really, but we sure should have. We don't need any more creepers running around. I mean, we already have too many peop.....wait, Oh no!
Paige: Jayci! Come back! That fur bikini really is a little too small!!!!!!!
this story is 100% true! Just ask Jayci. ;)
